Michael Doukas, sebastos, late 11th-early 12th centuries. Seal (Lead, 29 mm, 14.62 g). A[X] - MI/X Nimbate facing bust of St. Michael, holding trefoil scepter in his right hand and globe in his left. Rev. [C]ΦPAΓIC / [CЄ]RACT૪ / [M]IXAHΛ AV/TH Δ૪KA ('Seal of the sebastos Michael Doukas') in four lines, decorations above and below. Wassiliou-Seibt, Corpus 2840. Some flatness and the flan somewhat bent, otherwise, good very fine.
